As your motor coach arrives at The Middlebury Inn, we roll out the red carpet, welcoming you with refreshments and treats to prepare you for a wonderful stay in Middlebury, Vermont.

Your group can tour the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum to discover the stories of Lake Champlain's citizens and soldiers, merchants, mariners, and boat builders. Explore four acres of exhibits: shipwrecks and nautical archaeology, antique boats, a working blacksmith shop, and other hands-on history. Climb aboard a full-scale replica 1776 gunboat at anchor in the museum's North Harbor. Watch archaeologists at work in the Conservation Lab.

Experience the fun and educational 30-minute guided factory group tour of Ben & Jerry’s. Watch a moo-vie, get a bird’s-eye view of the production room, and sample the flavors of the day.

Take a guided tour through Vermont’s maple sugaring industry at the New England Maple Museum. Learn the history of maple sugaring, tour the museum, visit the tasting room, and then take a trip down “sugaring lane” for a slideshow in the theater. Afterwards, stroll through the gift shop for maple products and unique Vermont crafts, books and specialty foods.

Mystery "Inn-trigue" Tour

Your group can test their Sherlock Holmes sleuthing skills with our “Inn-triguing” mystery, which is written and cast by members of the Inn staff. Work together as detective agencies to review clues and question suspects. Will your detective agency be the first to unravel the mystery?

Christmas House Party

Christmas comes early to The Middlebury Inn. Our family would like to celebrate Christmas with your group. Enjoy a bountiful Vermont breakfast, holiday dinner, festive eggnog party, Christmas caroling, a souvenir group photo and even a visit from Santa with a special Christmas gift for you! Red Hat Special

Ladies, here is a tour for you — The Red Hat House Party! The evening will take you to the classiest fashion show in town as the staff of The Middlebury Inn model some red-hot fashions. We will take a snapshot of our Red Hatters before loading the coach for a day of touring. Let's take a short drive to Vermont Soap Organics for an aromatic tour, watching the making of several natural soaps in incredible fragrances like Red Cedar and Red Rose. We will tour the Red Gate Emu Farm to learn about the amazing emu oils and lotions. Then enjoy a delicious lunch at the Red Mill Restaurant at the Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain. We will move back in time as we visit the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and learn about the battle of the Redcoats! Our next stop is the Red Brick Kennedy Brothers Marketplace, full of homemade Vermont Products, crafts and collectables. We will meander back to the Middlebury Inn for a delicious four-course plated dinner and an evening of entertainment. Hats off to a great day of touring!

Vermont Farm Heritage Tour

We invite your tour group to sample a “Taste of Vermont” with our Vermont Farm Heritage Tour. Your tour group is greeted with our royal red carpet arrival, stepping off your coach into the spacious lobby of our historical Victorian inn. Relax with a cup of hot tea, coffee, lemonade and freshly baked cookies. In the evening, enjoy a delicious wine and cheese party followed by our Vermont Harvest Dinner.

Venture off to the newborn alpacas at the Champlain Valley Alpaca Farm. Then it’s off to the Red Gate Emu Farm to learn about the amazing emu oils and lotions.
At the unique 3rd-generation Vermont Products store, Dakin Farm, you’ll taste a variety of cheeses, farm smoked hams, bacons, fresh Vermont maple syrup and much more. We will meander back for local shopping at Middlebury’s Vermont Soap Organics and Maple Landmark Wood Factory.
Enjoy a bit of Vermont storytelling or a stroll downtown to Middlebury’s boutique shops on Main Street while our Chef prepares an exceptional Vermont Harvest Dinner for your group.
Watch young colts canter alongside their moms in the field at the Morgan Horse Farm.
On to the Robotic Milking Farm? You guessed it—cows milked by robots!
Perhaps we will go digging for gold…Vermont Gold that is, at the Morse Sugar Farm for a Vermont tradition of Maple Sugar on Snow.

Quilt Festival Tour

Join Middlebury Inn every summer for a weekend of fun at the Vermont Quilt Festival, which is one of American Bus Association’s Top 100 events! Enjoy a lobster and prime rib dinner cruise upon the Spirit of Ethan Allen III and a day of touring, which includes the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory and the Shelburne Museum. You’ll also explore the historic quilts in a remodeled textile building, finishing the day with a relaxing dinner at our historic inn and an evening of lively entertainment. Reserve early!

Casino Tour

Let the Middlebury Inn show you the sights of the city as your group arrives on a Monday evening to enjoy a welcome reception, wine and cheese party, dinner, and an evening of great entertainment!

Tuesday morning, we gather for a group picture and load the motor coach for the romantic city of Montreal, where we spend the day at the Casino de Montreal, enjoying your chance with "Lady Luck." Upon returning to Middlebury Inn, your group will enjoy a plated dinner or lighter evening fare in our Founder's Dining Room.

Wednesday morning, we will board the motor coach to visit some of Vermont's finest and tastiest shops. First is Geiger of Austria, a fine boiled wool clothing outlet store. Next stop is Dakin Farm, a Vermont products food store where you can sample some of Vermont's cheeses, hams, sausages, jams and more. We will then travel to Lake Champlain Chocolates to watch them create handmade candies and truffles.

Lunch will be on the Burlington Waterfront and then our final stop at the Magic Hat Brewery for some of Vermont's finest brews. If time allows, we will venture to downtown Middlebury to visit the many boutique shops!
