Directions to The Middlebury Inn Court Square

The Inn is scenic drive from Boston 4 hours), New York (6 hours) and Montreal (3 hours). We're also located just 35 miles from Burlington International Airport and Rutland State Airport.

By Car

We are located at the junction of VT Route 30, US Route 7 and VT Route 125.

From Boston

Interstate 93 North to Concord, NH. Take Interstate 89 North into Vermont. When in Vermont, take the third exit, Bethel, and proceed west on Route 107, 12 miles. Turn right on Route 100 North and again go 12 miles to the village of Hancock. Turn left on Route 125 West and go 16 miles (over Middlebury Gap and past Middlebury Snow Bowl and Breadloaf Campus) to the junction of routes 7 and 125. Go north on Route 7 and 125, 4 miles into the village of Middlebury. The Inn is located in the center of town on Route 7 overlooking the greens.

Driving time from Boston should be about 3.5 to 4 hours. From the Vermont border it should be 1.5 to 1.75 hours.

From Massachusetts, Springfield, Hartford & Other Points South

Take Route 91 North to Vermont. Follow 91 North to exit 6 & 103 Northwest. Follow 103 through Chester, Ludlow, East Wallingford to Route 7. Take Route 7 North through Rutland, Pittsford, Brandon, East Middlebury and Middlebury.

From New York

Take your preferred route to 87 North (the Northway) then follow directions from Albany Airport.

Most roads lead to Middlebury via historic and scenic US Route 7 which stretches from the Long Island Sound to the Canadian Border passing through western parts of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont. There are many historic areas to discover and explore along this route, especially between Pittsfield, Massachusetts and Burlington, Vermont . By Air

From Burlington International Airport: Exit the airport to the left and cross Williston Road onto Kennedy Drive. Go through several traffic lights until you reach Dorset Street (with a school on your right). Cross Dorset Street heading west on I-89 until you come to a "T" in the road. Take a left onto historic and scenic Rt. 7 South and follow it about 35 miles to Middlebury. We are on your left as you approach the town of Middlebury. 

From Rutland State Airport: Head toward Rabtoy Lane and bear left on Route 103 [VT-103]. Turn right on historic and scenic Route 7 North and continue, bearing left on Court Street/US 7. Follow Court Street until you arrive at the hotel on the right.

From Albany Airport: Take 87 North (The Northway) to Exit 20 (Fort Ann). Turn left off the exit onto Route 9 and proceed north for approximately ¾ mile. Turn right onto Route 149 East into Fort Ann. Turn left onto Route 4 East to Whitehall, NY. Continue on Rte. 4 East into Vermont. Take Exit 2 (22A) Vergennes and Fair Haven. Follow 22A North into Shoreham. Turn right on 74 East and go 8 miles. Turn left onto Route 30 North into Middlebury. You will see The Middlebury Inn, a large brick federal-style building located on Route 7.
